Pirate Adventures?

I didn't post last week after the second episode. Still can't seem to wrap my head around the Silence and all that transpired. Not sure what I think or how I feel, even after multiple viewings.

This week was pirates. I thought the episode enjoyable overall. There were a few wtf moments, as always (missing a pirate, anyone?). The biggest one for me is the whole sickbay scene. The patients were all supposedly dead. But they were healthy, except for the stupid cut that made the siren take them. So the siren/doctor actually killed them when she took them. I thought her function was to heal. Ah well.

Lots of people are upset that Rory dies in yet another episode. There has to be some drama, right? And Rory appears to be the Doctor Who equivalent of South Park's Kenny (Oh my God! You've killed Rory!). I still don't care one way or another about Rory, so whatever.

The mysterious woman at the door makes another appearance. I'm actually looking forward to finding out where/when Amy is, although I think I will be a tad irritated if the whole thing turns out to be Amy's dream. (And don't get me started on the BBCA Amy intro. Last I knew, this was not the Amy show. Grrr.)

Looking forward to another week of Doctor Who, which is such a change from last series. I'm almost giddy!
